Aglaja Brix, born in 1990, is a young photographer from Germany.
Specialized in staged photography her heart beats for fashion photography but also portrait photography plays a great role in her work. Political themes, especially veganism, and music are favourite subjects to implement.
...moreShe made her first acquaintances with the camera in the childhood when she was acting - so she knows the importance and value of "telling stories".
In 2013 she won the "Glamour Styling Contest" - Condé Nast publishing.
In January 2014 she finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW), department design, subject graphic design, specialized in photography.

Aglaja Brix and Florian Maas, aka Brix & Maas, are a creative duo based in Berlin. They have already known each other since back in university and began working together as a team in 2014. Since then, they have kept a strong focus on photography and additional videography work in the areas of fashion, beauty, and portraits, while also boldly navigating other areas such as stills, travel and AI-based imagery.
Their style is often described as cinematic and artistic – presenting models from their most confident side, while also leaving room for mystery and self-interpretation. Their credo: “We want to tell a story.”
They are the proud winners of awards such as the GoSee Award, Art Directors Club Germany and the D&AD Next Photographer Award.
