featured by Bigoudi : 'Blame it on Andy' or 'Warhol’s everlasting influence on fashion' - Jonas Huckstorf photographs for ACHTUNG Mag with styling by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI

ACHTUNG Magazine writes about the editorial shot by Jonas Huckstorf and styled by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI : “The combination of stylist Ingo Nahrwold and photographer Jonas Huckstorf is not new in ACHTUNG. Channeling Richard Avedon’s photos of Andy Warhol’s Factory in fashion photography isn’t either.

But add in a great and very 2023-feeling cast featuring Smilla Herbst, this editorial, combining classic suits and coats, is obscuring the lines of gender conformity. The B&W editing, the group shots, as well as the classic and androgynous tailoring are extremely reminiscent of The Factory vibe captured in Avedon’s iconic images.

Let’s remember that during the 1960s and early 1970s, Warhol’s studio was a cultural hub and meeting place for the most influential artists and celebrities of the time. Salvador Dalí, Allen Ginsberg, Mick Jagger, and Edie Sedgwick, to name a few, who decided over the course of arts and culture for decades to come.

Even though The Factory doesn’t exist anymore, influences of the ideas can be found everywhere to this day. Let this editorial be proof of that.”

In 2003, the German fashion editor and stylist Markus Ebner (* 29 October, 1969, in Waldshut-Tiengen) founded Achtung Mag, an independent German fashion magazine. But before that, he had been with KCD from 1995 to 1999, a company specialized in PR and events in New York, which also supported Gianni Versace in America.

Following the murder of Versace in 1997, his sister and successor as head of the company, Donatella Versace, hired Ebner as her right-hand man to organize exhibitions in the name of her late brother. Ebner was also on the team which organized Donatella Versace’s first show.

After the terrorist attacks which took place on ‘9/11’ in 2001, Ebner returned to Germany. In the Summer of 2002, he founded the magazine Sepp Football Fashion, followed by Achtung, as mentioned above, in September 2003.

Markus Ebner worked as a stylist for the German edition of Vanity Fair from 2007 to 2009. He worked for Zeit Magazine from 2009 to 2013, and has been Chief Stylist at F.A.Z. Magazine since 2013.

featured by Bigoudi : Model Penelope Ternes in ‘All Gucci?’, the photographic homage to Designer Tom Ford, in ACHTUNG Magazine - styling and art direction by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI

It’s been more than 20 years meanwhile since Tom Ford took the helm at Gucci as Creative Director, ultimately empowering the Italian fashion house to shine in new splendor. At the moment, his ‘sex first’ designs are preferably often copied as part of today’s 90s revival.

With sharp cuts and clever details, Tom Ford wiped the dust off Gucci’s image and almost single-handedly pulled the brand out of its downward spiral and dreadful financial situation. What makes them so special : Ford’s collections have maintained a timelessness to this day rarely encountered in the fashion industry.

We quote Achtung Magazine : “Now that Mister Tom Ford has bid farewell to the fashion world, it has all gotten a new relevance.”

As an homage, Emil Dietrich photographed the ‘All Gucci?’ editorial featuring model Penelope Ternes for ACHTUNG Magazine. Styling and art direction by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI.
