Berlin’s department store KadeWe turned to Alessandra KILA c/o EMEIS DEUBEL to photograph perfume bottles for their magazine in her signature style. Alessandra was also responsible for retouching the photos.

Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe), or Department Store of the West, in Berlin offers you a premium assortment of luxury goods. It was founded in 1907 by Jewish businessman Adolf Jandorf and constructed according to the plans of architect Emil Schaudt. It is considered the most well-known department store in Germany to this day.

Alessandra KILA c/o EMEIS DEUBEL realized a film in collaboration with Parasol Island and antoni for the new MERCEDES-BENZ GLB, which is marked by striking SUV elements and an elegant design language. The film presents invisible transitions and surprising camera movements accompanied by numerous videos as well as more than 40 ultra-high resolution stills which were all created in full CGI.

Through the optical illusions of mirrors and the spiralling movements of the camera, Alessandra has created a world of endless possibilities. Using the versatility of the CG medium to her advantage, she fluently takes the viewer from one world to another, treating mirrors like portals and creating an Esher-esque narrative of never-ending perspectives.”

RECOM presents us her FULL CGI project ‘Hypnotic Journey’ with Alessandra KILA c/o EMEIS DEUBEL, which creatively stages one piece of chanel jewelry in each video.

“Through the mechanical and perpetual movements of diamonds, malachite, tourmaline and pearls, the viewer is taken from a rational state of mind to a trance-like hallucination where both image and colors react to the altered state of mind. Jewels are real, but they are also a subconscious reality that exists as a state of desire in our mind,” says Alessandra Kila.

RECOM : “Follow Alessandra Kila into a world of hypnotic machines with enthralling perpetual movement. Working closely with our London studio, a triptych of FULL CGI videos evolved, each featuring a piece of Chanel jewelry functioning like an entrancing device: a necklace oscillates like a pendulum, a ring repeats the pattern of a spinning machine, and a bracelet echoes the circular movements of a gyroscope.”
