The challenge: having an AI motif as a template, but striving to implement everything the “analog” way - which in these AI times could almost be considered avant-garde again.
The Konzerthaus Dortmund is one of the best concert halls in Europe. This year, my team and I shot the image and video campaign for the new 2025/2026 season.
The whole thing was realized without artificial intelligence, using only set construction, lighting and conventional photographic means.
Our aim was to illustrate the sensual experience of music with light and shadows of notes as silhouettes on the faces of the audience. We wanted to stage live music as a gripping, spatial experience that captivates us.
I'd say this was one of my three greatest jobs ever in terms of creative freedom, collaboration and fun.
