ITA Airways x Milano Cortina 2026: Emiliano Ponzi designs Olympic special livery
ITA Airways has unveiled a special livery on one of its Airbus A320 aircraft (registration EI-DSY), celebrating its role as official airline sponsor of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. The artwork was created by Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, who seamlessly integrates the Olympic branding into his distinctive, graphically refined visual language.
For this project, ITA’s signature blue transforms into an open sky. Mountains, snow, ice and suspended jumps evoke movement, energy and momentum. Ponzi captures the decisive Olympic moment – those few seconds that hold years of training, sacrifice and passion. His illustrations highlight what travel and sport share: emotion, anticipation and the power of a single instant.
The aircraft becomes a flying ambassador for the Games, carrying the spirit of Milano Cortina 2026 across ITA Airways’ short- and medium-haul network. A visual tribute to Italian pride, global connection and the magic of sport.
