Empowerment through secondhand. Under the title “Everyday Weirdness”, Patrik Lindén photographed Ricardo’s latest campaign – capturing exactly the right tone: slightly offbeat and surprisingly close to everyday life. The idea: objects get a second life, and with them come new stories – told in a human, light-hearted way.
The campaign was developed by Swiss agency Freundliche Grüsse, deliberately breaking with classic secondhand clichés. Instead of “used”, the focus is on character: found items that suddenly become small everyday heroes.
“We don’t simply present the products as secondhand goods, but as desirable, one-of-a-kind pieces with character. By combining a modern aesthetic with a touch of humor, we make the joy of discovery that defines Ricardo visually and emotionally tangible,” says Pascal Deville, CD at Freundliche Grüsse.
Once new, now even better – a campaign that proves great ideas don’t have to be new. Just well told.
