featured by basics berlin : Kristian Schuller photographs Heidi Klum for the GRAZIA ‘Elemental’ print issue - makeup by Gabrielle THEURER, set design by Kathleen ALISCH, both artists c/o BASICS.BERLIN

“Captured by photographer Kristian Schuller’s unique lens, supernova Heidi Klum reflects on how keeping an open mind enkindled her inimitable career, why the heart always has the capacity to love again, and what truly lights her fire.” GRAZIA.

A successful segue to the captivating film ‘Elemental’ that enchanted us in movie theaters this summer. Lava Girl meets Water Boy. Resistance is futile. Big emotions guaranteed. But Heidi Nationale doesn’t only work with Kristian and creative mastermind Peggy – she also does so from time to time with star visagist Gabrielle THEURER and set designer Kathleen ALISCH, both talents c/o BASICS.BERLIN.

From the intro to the spread on Grazia online : “Heidi Klum, the original, ever-enduring supermodel, has just returned home from eleven weeks in Europe. Her husband, 34-year-old German glam rocker Tom Kaulitz, was shooting a television show in Berlin, and Klum, accompanying him and unable to sit still, knew renowned photographer Kristian Schuller was also in town. Having seen Schuller apply his abstract lens to contestants on ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’ – a fashion reality series of which Klum has been a host and executive producer for eighteen seasons – the mother-of-four jumped at the chance to work with him.”

In an interview, the freshly-minted 50-year-old chats equally charmingly and confidently about her career and love of dancing, her shows, and not lastly, her extrovert nature.

The cover spread appeared in the 15th print issue of GRAZIA. Topic: ‘Elemental’ featuring supernova Heidi Klum. The 432-page issue is divided into four chapters – Fire, Water, Air, and Earth – and examines how these elements are manifest in our cosmopolitan lives.
