PURPLE Magazine celebrates the #DIORCRUISE2024 collection on model Mariana Arias - produced in Mexico City by HABITANT PRODUCTIONS

For PURPLE Magazine and the Dior Cruise 2024 collection, it was off to Mexico City for photographer Olivier Zahm and his team, where they staged a spread with model Mariana Arias against the backdrop of the MUSEO DIEGO RIVERA ANAHUACALLI. Responsible for production was HABITANT PRODUCTIONS.

The Museum for Pre-Columbian Art, Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli – or simply Museo Anahuacalli, goes back to Diego Rivera. His collection of more than 50,000 objects laid the foundation for the museum. Construction and installation of Museo Anahuacalli began in 1942, and the building was finished in 1963. But it was not until the year 1964 that it opened. The museum was originally planned as the personal residence of Diego Rivera and as a place of storage for his pre-Columbian collection. In 1942, he purchased land in San Pablo Tepetla, which was still located outside the city limits at the time. He had the foundation of the house constructed there, at first without a permit, until he received permission to build Museo Anahuacalli on 30 March, 1944.

Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez (* 8 December or 13 December, 1886, in Guanajuato; † 24 November, 1957, in Mexico City) was a Mexican painter. He is considered one of the most significant painters in Mexico of modern times. Rivera joined Mexico’s communist party in 1922 and was a member of the executive committee. In 1927, he traveled to the Soviet Union for the anniversary of the October Revolution because he wanted to contribute to the artistic development of the country. However, due to his criticism of Stalinist politics, he was advised to return to Mexico. In the 1930s, Rivera embraced the ideas of Trotzkyism and advocated for Leo Trotzki’s exile in Mexico, letting him stay at his home for a short period. After political and personal disputes with Trotzki, the Mexican artist cut all ties.

Today, he is known in Europe above all as the husband of Frida Kahlo, whom he married in 1929 and who shared his political convictions.

Formula 1 Legend Lewis Hamilton in the RIMOWA #NEVERSTILL campaign - produced by HABITANT PRODUCTIONS

No one builds a legacy by standing still … The RIMOWA campaign this year presents three icons that don’t tell you where they’re going – but instead why. One of the three protagonists is British Formula 1 driver and Monaco resident Lewis Hamilton.

The campaign motifs were produced by HABITANT PRODUCTIONS for the agency Anomaly. Photographer: Chris Rhodes.

“World-class athlete Lewis Hamilton is accustomed to a life of travel; touring to races across the globe. Now, he journeys with a fresh perspective. From the passenger seat, he is focusing on more than the road ahead, but embracing and learning from the world around him.” RIMOWA.

Rimowa, based in Cologne on the Rhine, is among the market leaders worldwide in the premium suitcase segment. Since 1898, the German company has been producing high-quality luggage and promises its customers a life-long warranty. At the end of 2016, the French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH acquired 80 percent of company shares.

The seven-time Formula 1 Wold Champion Lewis Hamilton is used to traveling a lot – but the days of having tunnel vision are over. Today, Lewis doesn’t just focus on what’s ahead. That way, he doesn’t lose sight of the world around him – so he can learn from it.

Lewis Hamiltons Credo : “The more you take in, the more you can give out.”

It perfectly fits the Never Still collection that gives you modern, functional and elegant solutions for your daily commute in the city, on the job and so much more.
