The people of Cali have developed a distinctive dancing style, combining traditional Cuban Salsa with the Caribbean rhythms of Pachanga and Boogaloo. This unique style has kept its essence intact, as it has been passed down from generation to generation. Jhon Jairo is a third generation dancer that has been performing since he was nine years old. His dancing style is the most iconic of Cali, featuring impressive and precise footwork. On stage, dancers move their feet with intricate yet electrifying steps. The movements are so fast, it’s hard to even see their shoes hitting the ground. Words by @iamyeye for @victoryjournal
