Walter Röhrl gilt seit Jahrzehnten, als Inbegriff des Rallye-Sports und behielt dieses Image auch nach Beendigung, seiner professionellen Karriere. Das „Genie auf Rädern“ (Niki Lauda) fuhr 1980 und 1982 zum Welttitel, gewann die prestigeträchtige Rallye Monte Carlo viermal auf unterschiedlichen Fabrikaten und insgesamt 14 WM-Läufe. Prämiert mit verschiedenen Preisen gehört Walter Röhrl zur Hall of Fame des deutschen Sports. Heute arbeitet Walter Röhrl als Repräsentant und Testfahrer für Porsche.
