Transportation photographer JEFF LUDES presents an eye-catching project with the PORSCHE TAYCAN here on GoSee. “In between locations while doing a project for a client, I took a few minutes to fully explore this amazing Porsche Taycan before moving to the next. Southern California has experienced an unusually rainy spring this year – which made for the perfect conditions for this series of images featuring an Acid Green Porsche Taycan that I shot one Sunday morning. The lush hills were soaked further that morning, but the clouds cleared just in time.”

JEFF LUDES had the opportunity to realize an extraordinary project with the Gybow team in Los Angeles. Created thanks to the mobile Gybow LED rig system, with which it is possible to envelop vehicles in a true hemisphere of the location complete with light and reflections, were impressive images of a McLaren in somewhat unusual places.
Jeff tells us about the shoot : “When the Gybow team came to Los Angeles recently and gave me the chance to shoot for a day, I quickly put together all the elements of a project that couldn’t be done in any other way. The Gybow is a mobile LED lighting rig, set up in a studio, that wraps a vehicle in a perfect bubble of light and reflection. Thus, enabling completely seamless results without even having to leave the studio with the car! What better way to show what it can do than by creating images of a McLaren in places it just can’t go: like onto a rooftop or inside a concrete tower.
With a collection of colored lights, an amazing model, and two fantastic outfits, my team spent a Friday afternoon and evening shooting on the rooftop. For each setup, they captured an HDR dome as well, just like for a CGI shoot. The next day, we headed into the studio, now with the McLaren. But unlike a CGI shoot, the talent is free to fully interact with the vehicle, i.e., move around, on, and inside, as I direct and snap away. With total freedom and perfect reflections, really anything is possible! And in just a few minutes, completed shots are on the screen.
From there, MainWorks took the images, seamlessly integrating the vehicle into the rooftop environments. It’s not a complicated process, but they handled the project with their usual artistry, with beautiful results.”

Fun-to-drive dynamics, innovative technology, plenty of space – the Prologue is the first all-electric SUV from HONDA that offers a driving experience that’s as comfortable as it is exhilarating. It’s been on the US market for several weeks now, and JEFF LUDES was given the thrilling opportunity to photograph Honda’s first all-electric SUV in one of his favorite locations: the San Francisco Bay Area – with everything from elegant cityscapes to stunning bridges and the redwood forests.
“With a long shot list, the team kept the concepts fairly open, adapting to the best locations and opportunities that could be found. Over the course of six days, we went from downtown to the Redwood forests and finally to the rugged coast. It helped the pace of the project to shoot the running shots from an arm car, giving me full flexibility to quickly position the camera anywhere. And then, of course, the arm car got plenty of use while shooting the video portion of the project.” Jeff Ludes tells GoSee.News and continues: “What always blows my mind shooting in the bay is when we get to do redwoods in the morning, and ocean views in the afternoon.”
The agency was RPA Santa Monica with CD Kelly Fitzpatrick as well as Art Producers Michelle Foster and Weena De Vera. Around 40 images were created in the San Francisco Bay Area and the redwood forests. We have the results from the high-voltage adventure for you right here on GoSee. Post production came from Mainworks.
