KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS provided local production services to Lock Studios to support film and photo shoots in Johannesburg for the artist collaboration between LOUIS VUITTON and Billie Zangewa for the ‘Artycapucines Collection Nummer 5’.
A South African-based artist born in Malawi, Billie Zangewa celebrates the amalgamation of gender, identity and race in a socio-economic context through raw silk assemblages. Deliberately using unevenly stitched patchworks of raw silk, she creates landscapes and portraits. Transposing her 2020 oeuvre entitled ‘The Swimming Lesson’, Zangewa’s Artycapucines bag depicts her son Mika on the edge of a glistening pool, adorned with handstitched beads and metallic thread to create a sparkling reflection, as well as three Monogram penguin charms.
A recurrent theme of her piece, gold detailing outlines the pool edge and continues along the top of the bag until it reaches the metallic LV signature. “I have a love of texture and tactility so working with fabric was almost inevitable.” – Billie Zangewa.
LOUIS VUITTON’s Artycapucines Collection combines the Maison’s emblematic Capucines with the unique vision of five meanwhile leading contemporary artists. The Capucines bag, named after the Paris street Rue Neuve-des-Capucines on which Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854, has become a canvas for artistic expression ever since the Artycapucines Collection was founded in 2019.

If you want to communicate with your clients all year round, you require the perfect visual material for the purpose at all times. Which is why KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS produced on commission for the agency ABOUTKOKOMO together with photographers Florian Bison, CG Watkins and John Gribben (Studio).
What the brief called for were motifs from sports such as tennis, basketball, biking, soccer, swimming, running, … plus stills and various feel-good motifs to go with them.
ADIDAS stands for team spirit and respect as well as for integrity, and most importantly: having fun doing sports, an inclusive lifestyle and diversity – and that not only since 2022. Which is more important than ever to communicate today.
ABOUTKOKOMO, founded by Grit Mavie Scholz and Guy Maurer, refers to itself as a “Studio for creative concepts; spatial, content and experiential design & production with a sustainable approach. Based in Berlin, working globally.” The name of the agency, by the way, comes from the hotel in Puerto Rico where the idea to found the agency first started to take shape…

KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS had the pleasure of producing for ANTHROPOLOGIE in exciting locations in Morocco. The focus was on the ANTHROPOLOGIE WEDDING Collection, elegantly staged by fashion photographer Marie Schmidt (DOP: Jean-Pierre Whitfield).
Created alongside the stills were moving images, accompanied by the atmospheric music of Anthony Lazaro (‘Something New’). On set from the client, Alaina Ching (Creative Director Anthropologie Weddings), Jisoo Kang (Chief Creative Director - Fashion & Home) and Julia Wilson (Director of Creative Production Anthropologie Weddings) supervised the shoots. In front of the camera stood top model Malika Elmaslouhi, the latest cover model of French VOGUE (10/23), who was styled by Kirby Cox and Michał Kożuch.
