In June 2026, the magazine ZEIT published a special issue on the theme of "Cuisine," for which Hamburg-based photographer Daniel Feistenauer visually showcased the world-famous Parisian cooking school Le Cordon Bleu.
The article focuses on the haute cuisine of the cooking school under the direction of Éric Briffard. As a culinary highlight, the school created a culinary homage to Franco-German friendship. For this, the editors selected 13 typically German ingredients. And, of course, the humble potato took first place. Sauerkraut and apples were also essential.
"At the Parisian cooking school Le Cordon Bleu, the high art of haute cuisine is taught. Its director has created a 'homage to Franco-German friendship' from our ingredients," we quote from ZEIT. Magazine.
Éric Briffard is one of France's most respected master chefs and an absolute icon of haute cuisine. Since January 2016, he...

When many Ukrainian refugees arrived in Neustrelitz in 2022, Katja Thiede and her husband Christian wanted to create a place for simple encounters. Since sport transcends language barriers, they simply set up two ping-pong tables in their own garden.
Since January 2025, the project has had a permanent home in a former hair salon at Elisabethstraße 33 in Neustrelitz. Professional tables are available in the approximately 100-square-meter space.
Photographer Norman Konrad visited the salon for Chrismon Magazine.
Katja Thiede's ping-pong salon in Neustrelitz is about much more than just sport. It's a place where people who might otherwise never have met come together: young and old, newcomers and locals, engineers, retirees, families, and singles.
What began with two ping-pong tables in their own garden is now a vibrant meeting place in the heart of the city. People play, talk, laugh, play...
