‘High tech needs seconds; high quality needs years’ – for Sicilian wine producer CUSUMANO, Byron MOLLINEDO c/o KRISTINA KORB photographed the latest campaign.
CUSUMANO, founded in 2000 by the brothers Diego and Alberto Cusumano in the province Palermo, is meanwhile with more than 500 hectares among the largest wine-growing estates on the island. Most of its wines are marketed with the Sicilia IGT quality classification.
Today, the winery’s grapes from 520 hectares are processed in five wineries to fill 2.5 million bottles. Cusumano stands for a young and modern Sicily, unburdened by tradition and well-trained both in terms of production and marketing.
Johnson, the standard for wine tasting written by author Hugh Johnson, gives the vineyard two to three stars, and finds it ‘entirely satisfactory’ and inexpensive. Due to the high production volume, he writes that it is of ‘astounding quality’.
