Jeff LUDES had two models at a time from the brand CHEVROLET in front of his lens for the agency Commonwealth // McCann. The first was the CHEVROLET CRUZE in the shoot with CD CD Jerome Ooi, which took place directly on the photographer's in Los Angeles. The second: CHEVROLET MALIBU at a shoot with CD Scott Combs far away in the cold winter of South Korea.
Jeff Ludes on the CRUZE shoot to GoSee : “For the new Cruze, the shot list was kept very loose, so over the course of the 6-day shoot, there was plenty of opportunity for improvisation. Many of these unplanned shots became favorites of the agency and client. We shot everything possible – inside, outside, lifestyle, details, and running. In addition, I brought on board my DP to demonstrate my team's motion capabilities. Sometimes the two teams worked in tandem, and other times they split off so one prepped while the other shot, working as efficiently as possible.”
About the MALIBU shoot, he let us know: “This time, the production was handled by Commonwealth's office in Bangkok, as the shoot took place in South Korea. Although this project called for a more crafted aesthetic, and defined shot list, we found opportunities for additional shots, like the high angle looking down through layers of architecture. Excellent local production and fantastic locations made things run smoothly, despite the freezing winter temperatures.” We have the results of the elaborate shoot with photos and film for you on GoSee.
