‘Rien ne va plus?’ The creative agency MDCT AG has developed a humorous international summer campaign for FLIGHTRIGHT, Europe’s leading legal portal for air passengers – that seamlessly combines artificial intelligence and creative excellence. It is centered around the Tiny Passenger, an AI-generated brand ambassador who raises awareness about passenger rights in an emotional way.
Within only a month, MDCT took the campaign from inception to launch with the help of AI technologies such as Midjourney and Stable Diffusion. “Our AI is used as a catalyst for creativity and efficiency,” says Wolfgang Benz, CEO of MDCT. “It enables us to develop campaigns in iterations and react to changes in real time. But the AI is only part of a bigger picture – the creative vision and emotional storylines still come from the pen of our experienced experts.”
The prototype of the Tiny Passenger was created in Midjourney, which then served as the basis to specifically train the AI technology Stable Diffusion so that the Tiny Passenger could interact with a world of its own for the static assets. For the moving images, however, the Tiny Passenger was brought to life in a classic animated video by BitteschönTV, which had an enhancing effect both on its character depth and attractiveness.
The result is a brand ambassador to remember – who immediately attracts attention both in the digital space and as OOH placements at the Vienna International Airport or in the Paris metro.
Flightright CMO Katharina Zurmühlen tells us: “Special thanks go to MDCT for the concept they have developed and creatively executed to create the perfect combination of AI and real emotion, enabling all air passengers to identify with our Tiny Passenger. Together, we are conveying a strong message for the rights of air passengers!”
The success of the campaign so far speaks for itself: More than 5.1 million YouTube views, 27 million reach, and 55 million impressions within the first month alone underscore the enormous response and effectiveness. The campaign has been consistently optimized in real time to address the target audience as precisely as possible and continue to build upon its great success.
