The battery-electric compact crossover SUV FORD EXPLORER is manufactured in Cologne and marketed mainly in Europe. It is based on the MEB platform of the Volkswagen company, and with its ambient lighting, the all-electric Ford Explorer ensures a genuine feel-good atmosphere on every trip.
FORD writes : “The revolutionary all-electric SUV, developed and built in Cologne, will thrill you – with its compact size, striking design and short charge times, the new fully electric Ford Explorer is ready for every adventure. Because with a charging rate of 10-80% in only 25 minutes, your new Ford Explorer will be ready to roll again before you have finished your coffee during a short break.”
The EXPLORER experienced its first adventure in Norway, and photographer Patrik JOHÄLL c/o B&A REPS GERMANY was there.
By 2030, FORD will only manufacture all-electric passenger cars in Europe : “We are converting our plant in Cologne to create the first Ford Electrification Center in Europe for the sum of 2 billion US dollars by 2023. By 2026, we plan on investing more than 50 billion US dollars globally in the electrification of our vehicle fleet.”
Ford wants to become 100% carbon neutral by 2035 : “Today, we’re already on track to make all vehicles sold emission-free and become carbon neutral throughout Europe by 2035.”
