TARA LAUREN is a Los Angeles-based bridal brand that embodies a romantic, fresh, elevated Bohemian aesthetic designed with an admiration for the spirited confidence of today’s adventurous modern bride. Co-founding sisters Tara and Shaina Healy aim to evoke the beauty of effortless style while preserving an expressly luxe vision. They developed an early love for bridal fashion while growing up in their Mother’s bridal shop which initiated their passions in life. Tara went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in Bridal- and Eveningwear from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she received an award from The International Bridal Manufacturer’s Association in recognition of her senior thesis. She continued to learn from such houses as Monique L’huillier, Marchesa, and Oscar de la Renta.
Shaina has received a Bachelor of Arts from Chapman University in Orange County, CA, and honed her fashion-styling skills assisting celebrity stylist Julie Matos. She has styled brides across the West and East Coasts. The Healy sisters now design their namesake collection in LA. The easy and effortless mood of their home state of California often inspires their sultry yet light and dance-friendly silhouettes. The sisters personally hand-source all of the dreamy unique lace, airy silk crepe de chine, and delicate embroidery details that earn Tara Lauren it’s distinct bohème luxe style.
