Veronika Wildgruber is a multifaceted designer based in Berlin. Besides her eyewear collection, she also designs for French luxury brand Hermès and works with international household and furniture companies.
Veronika Wildgruber Eyewear was launched in 2010 with four handmade frames designed in cooperation with French lunetier Jacques Durand. Following the company’s first presentation at the Silmo trade fair, it immediately won the Silmo d’Or special jury prize. Encouraged by the response, series production started in 2012. In 2017, Veronika was awarded again with the precious Silmo d’Or for Best Design Sunglasses. The collection is designed with an immediately recognizable central theme. It is reinterpreted and translated into next-level designs crafted with different materials to create an unmistakable signature design language.
Each component of these frames is made in Europe, mainly by family-owned companies in Germany and Italy. Products are developed in close personal cooperation with suppliers to ensure corporate values are adhered to each step of the way. This not only guarantees premium quality – it also maintains the highest standards with regard to working conditions and truly sustainable production processes.
