“Only 16.8 percent of all mid-sized companies are run by women in this country. A new generation of entrepreneurs intends to change that.” is the title of ZEIT.
Women founding a new business often receive less seed money than their male counterparts. Many start-ups lack diversity. But Judith Dada (former Facebook manager) and Jeannette zu Fürstenberg from venture capital fund La Famiglia are going against the grain. Peter RIGAUD photographed them both for the ‘TIME FOR ENTREPRENEURS’ special in ZEIT.
Under the name of La Famiglia, members of German entrepreneurial families have united to form a venture capital fund. It’s purpose is to invest in start-ups and promote communication between the industry and emerging companies, with the convenient side effect of achieving above average returns.
