The Beatsteaks are a German alternative rock and punk rock band from Berlin that was formed in 1995. Together with Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen, the group is among the most commercially successful German punk rock bands. They are now back on tour across the GSA region at the moment with their new album ‘Please’.
Beatsteaks singer Arnim Teutoburger-Weiß was photographed by Christoph VOY c/o AVENGER TEAM – including a statement in no uncertain terms about the highly controversial German political party AFD for SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG. The Alternative für Deutschland party (abbreviated AfD) is a right-wing populist and far-right political party in Germany. Since early 2021, the entire party has been suspected by Germany’s Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) to be a right-wing extremist organization.
‘Please’ is now the ninth studio album of the Beatsteaks and was released after a seven year hiatus. And it’s an enormous success – the tour has been sold out for ages.
We read about Arnim on Wiki : “Teutoburg-Weiß comes from a family of artists and attended a school for artists in East Germany as a child. He dropped out of the school and apprenticed in retail sales for a sports equipment store. In the early 1990s, he began to play guitar and quit his hobby soccer.”
