‘Cowboyclub Old Texas Berlin’ – Reportage on the threatened Western town in Berlin by Meike Kenn for DER SPIEGEL

For Der Spiegel, photographer Meike Kenn shot a reportage about the Western town Old Texas Town in Berlin-Spandau.

For decades, cowboys and cowgirls gathered here to live out their dream of the Wild West – complete with muzzleloaders, ranger uniforms and cowboy hats. The lease for the site expired on August 31, 2025, making way for the construction of a data center. Despite the threatened closure, the operating association and supporters fought to preserve the site, which has existed since 1968. A petition aimed to help save this unusual piece of Berlin subculture.

Meike Kenn’s photographic reportage follows this unique microcosm between Western nostalgia and big-city reality. 🤠

THE RED BULLETIN with ski jumper Andreas Wellinger and Till Brönner for RAMPSTYLE - photographed by Norman Konrad

In his unmistakably high-contrast visual language, Norman Konrad c/o DOUBLE T photographed ski jumper Andreas Wellinger for The Red Bulletin. The editorial portrays the athlete focused, analytical and composed - balancing strength, precision and mental control. Konrad condenses this mindset into intense portraits and dynamic action shots that make the exceptional state of ski jumping visually tangible.

For Rampstyle, he also created a fashion editorial featuring jazz musician Till Brönner. Here, fashion meets music - reduced, refined and staged with cinematic lighting. Between elegant silhouettes and musical aura, a visual world emerges that highlights both personality and style.

Oliver Gast presents an Artists & Celebrity editorial between AI, pop culture and iconic staging

With a new image series developed entirely in AI, Oliver Gast c/o KRISTINA KORB pushes the boundaries of classical celebrity staging. Instead of documentary proximity, he creates a deliberately constructed, hyper-aesthetic stage - somewhere between fashion, art installation and a digital pop universe.

The series presents artists in artificial settings: neon-soaked interiors with Westwood vibes, futuristic halls filled with graphic sculptures, architectural spaces that feel like walkable editorial spreads. Oliver Gast uses AI as a creative tool - celebrity is not portrayed here, but interpreted. Identity becomes a curated vision.

What makes the work particularly compelling is the shift in production logic: sets no longer exist physically, but as ideas. Lighting design, spatial depth and texture are all composed within the digital process. The result is a visual universe that would be...

The project exemplifies how AI has quietly and efficiently...
