Iconic British brand DR. MARTENS teamed up with Berlin-based creative collective deadHYPE to throw shoes designed by tattoo artist Gaël Cleinow onto the market right on time to kick off the new school year – because same as every year, it’s : Back to School ! The spread was photographed by Ewen SPENCER c/o LGA MANAGEMENT.

Dr. Martens, colloquially referred to as Docs or Doc Martens, is a shoe brand made by the British company of the same name, Dr. Martens PLC. Originally developed after World War II by German physician Klaus Märtens, Dr. Martens has been offering a large part of its models as vegan variants since 2016 which are manufactured using mainly synthetic materials.
Since 2013, the company has been owned by the investment firm Permira, and made its initial public offering in 2021, with Permira free-floating 40 % of the shares. The advertorial appeared in the Winter ‘21 issue of the magazine. Styling: Imruh Asha.
