One of her many journeys led Clara NEBELING c/o AK/KRUSE in 2019 to snowy Bratislava, Slovakia, where she and her stylist friend Blake Sutherland visited knitwear artist Jakub Straka during his artist residency in Banská St A Nica. There on location, Clara Nebeling portrayed people from the little town of Banská Stiavnica in the newest wool creations by Jakub Straka. The collection was inspired by traditional Slovakian folklore.
Founders of the cultural center are artist and university lecturer Svätopluk Mikyta as well as art theorist and cultural manager Zuzana Bodnárová. The main partner of the Banská St A Nica residency program in 2020 is the Slovakian Art Support Fund. GoSee: banskastanica.sk
