WHO GIVES A CRAP – that’s 100% recycled toilet paper, eco-friendly, soft and on a super long roll. Only 100% recycled paper is used (no virgin trees!) for the TP. It is biodegradable and plays well with most septic tanks. Plus, shipping is naturally carbon neutral.

The spot presented here was shot by director duo CHROMA c/o BOSCHtoBANRAP, aka Philipp Romppel and Tim Pfeffer. Production was in the hands of Carolin Film, Cologne.

“We want to ensure everyone has access to a toilet and basic sanitation. That’s why 50% of profits from all of our products go directly to our charity partners who work in water, hygiene and sanitation. You’re helping millions of people gain access to clean water just by using the toilet.” WHO GIVES A CRAP.

Here’s the founder’s story : “We started Who Gives A Crap when we learned that 2.4 billion people don’t have access to a toilet (now 2 billion – yay for progress!). That’s roughly 40% of the global population and means that around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That’s almost 800 children per day or one child every two minutes.

We thought that was pretty crappy. So in July 2012, Simon Griffiths, Jehan Ratnatunga and Danny Alexanderf launched Who Gives A Crap with a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Simon sat on a toilet in our draughty warehouse and refused to move until we had raised enough pre-orders to start production. 50 hours and one cold bottom later, we’d raised over $50,000 (see the video here!).”
