Florentine JOOP c/o KOMBINATROTWEISS-ILLUSTRATION uses a mixed technique, working with water colors, pencils, chalk, oil paint, markers, erasers, and paper. It’s all analogue and very haptic. The pencil is her most important utensil. She only works digitally if it is necessary in order to further process the motif, alter it and make it printable. Over the past years, Florentine has become specialized particularly in the areas of children’s books, portraits and fashion illustrations. Her work on these is very artistic and expressionistic, with a touch of nostalgia but always with a strong modern pen stroke.
We present you motifs from the exhibition ‘Crime Scene Fashion’ on GoSee which was recently on display at the KOMBINATROTWEISS-ILLUSTRATION Gallery. All motifs can also be found on the agency website. GoSee : kombinatrotweiss.de/gallery
