‘Leave Zombie Season Behind’ - exhausted portraits by advertising photographer Ale BURSET c/o JSR AGENCY for Canadian fast-food chain TIM HORTONS

Halloween may be over, but the streets of Canada are still a scary sight: tired people who look like Zombies everywhere. The resemblance is downright spooky, especially if the morning coffee they had isn’t from TIM HORTONS. The spine-chilling campaign was created by Ale BURSET c/o JSR AGENCY in cooperation with GUT Toronto.

“With ‘No More Zombies’, we’re alluding to that groggy, zombie-esque vibe we’ve all felt, not just the morning after Halloween, but any day without our Tims coffee,” says Heather MacLeod, Director of Marketing at Tim Hortons. “Halloween is great, but walking around like a zombie all year round? That’s no fun. It’s time for Tims.”

Tim Hortons Inc. is a Canadian fast-food restaurant chain. Originally specialized in coffee and donuts, the franchise named after its founder, hockey player Tim Horton, has had an expanded assortment including snacks, sandwiches and other fast-food items since the 1990s.

‘Aurora’ - floral arrangements by Amy CURRELL c/o JSR AGENCY at Leica Gallery London

On display at Leica Gallery London from 3 – 19 November, 2023 is the solo exhibition of the ‘Aurora’ series by Amy CURRELL c/o JSR AGENCY.

“Currell weaves together the timeless beauty of flowers with the celestial colors of the aurora borealis. These large-format photographs, created in Amy’s signature blend of mesmerizing hues, pull you into a contemporary world of color and singular detail. The show draws inspiration from classical floral subjects of the 17th century Dutch masters, bringing a gentle sense of romanticism and softness. The work immediately invites viewers to immerse themselves in the vibrancy of the image and offers a fleeting chance to retreat from the outside world.”

Photographer and Director Amy Currell was born in East London, where she lives and works. Her stills and moving images are shot through a distinctively female lens, and each frame is intricately composed, artfully juxtaposing color and texture, shape and shadow. Amy draws narratives using shadows, finds warmth and refraction in liquids, and blends CGI techniques with traditional still life photography for a perfected reality. Among her clients are Loewe, Jones Road, Byredo, House of Creed, Ikea, Vogue, Selfridges, Liberty London, Tatler, and Bvlgari.

Notting Hill Carnival by ARNHEL DE SERRA c/o JSR AGENCY

Just after carnival kicked off on 11/11, ARNHEL DE SERRA c/o JSR AGENCY presents us his series Notting Hill Carnival to get us in the mood.

The notorious Notting Hill Carnival is an outdoor event lasting several days, taking place each year on the last weekend in August in Notting Hill, London. The carnival draws up to two million participants (with a high level of participation particularly among African and Caribbean immigrants) and curious visitors – making it one of the largest mass events in Europe.

It was initiated by Caribbean-born political activist Claudia Jones in January 1959, when it took place as a party at the St. Pancras Town Hall. The event was held to protest against racist attacks on immigrants the year before (Notting Hill Riots) and the racially motivated murder of a young immigrant in the spring of the next year.

Arnhel De Serra’s work is multilayered, comical, disruptive, political, and colorful. At heart, he is nosey and curious about other people’s business. He loves to see the absurd in the everyday. His eye is constantly roving and casting around for opportunities – why make it up when the real world is so rich with potential? London-based, his client list includes Nintendo, Gousto, Aston Martin, BP, Freesat, Halifax, Leica Fotografie International, M&S, Nat West, Sothebys, Stagecoach, The Jewish Museum, The National Trust, and Virgin Trains.
