Duquesne began to photograph at the age of fourteen and soon decided to pursue a career in it. Although, in his home town, he was somewhat of an exception. “When girls finished school, they became secretaries, and if you were a man, you’d work in a store,” he explains. “I new I wanted to get out and do something different.” After studying Photography at a university in Perth, Duquesne moved to London in 2015 and started his career in the area of commercial and editorial photography.
