ISABEL PINTO presents us yet another kids editorial here on GoSee which she published in HOOLIGANS MAGAZINE. On location in Portugal, she staged William, 12, and Dylan, 8, from the agency Sugar Kids based in Barcelona, and Christina Kapongo took care of styling.
“I grew up in Mozambique, but after the Portuguese revolution, as many other Portuguese African families, I had to move to Portugal. It is where I became a photographer and work mainly in the fashion industry. It has always surprised me how, over the years, the beauty ideal for our clients’ brands has always been white, blonde, blue eyes... The editorial world has opened up over the last years to other races, especially for blacks. But not the commercial world! They are still not daring enough, afraid of losing sales... I do hope to see in my lifetime, a courageous brand that dares to communicate its image in an inclusive way, that sees beauty in our diverse humanity and understands its value as the way to go, to make meaningful changes in the industry,” the photographer tells us.
