When you talk about NRW, aka North Rhine-Westphalia, the largest state in Germany, then you’re talking about diversity. But also about the lots of little local rivalries and banter. Whether soccer, beer, the language, … The cheerful Rhine folk surely find reason enough.

Such local rivalries served as the starting point for the campaign photographed by Jochen MANZ c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS. The idea : The DB Regio NRW is above all these not-entirely-serious ‘animosities’ – and says : No matter what you think about X or Y (in NRW) – we’ll take you there. For the campaign, it was important to have an equally authentic and regional cast of ‘real’ people from NRW.

The DB Regio AG Region NRW provides transportation services in North Rhine-Westphalia as a railway transportation company. It is one of the seven regions in the railway division of DB Regio AG, a 100% subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG.

North Rhine-Westphalia is a parliamentary republic and a partially sovereign member state of the Federal Republic of Germany. With around 18.1 million inhabitants, it is the most populous state in Germany. NRW is home to the densest research network in Europe and is one of the world’s most important cultural regions.
