We look forward to welcoming Nicole Hardt at UPDATE once again this year. As Lead Art Director of C&A, she is responsible for the visual presentation of collections. With her team, she seeks out photographers, stylists as well as hair & makeup artists who, with their visual language, define the look of the clothing company.

Last year’s brand campaign for C&A was realized for the first time by photography & directing duo Lauren Ward & Alex Kweskin, aka Ward & Kweskin, from New York and LA. The campaign features a strikingly warm color palette paired with a cinematic look & feel.

Nicole Hardt works as a creative director and designer, specialized in bringing ideas to life – from brand strategy and communication to content creation, or even leading film & photo teams. She’s at the side of companies every step of the process, from the development of an identity to the implementation of communication measures, with a strong focus on preserving the traditional techniques of the handicraft – always combined, of course, with innovative ideas.

Nicole studied in the masterclass of Vivienne Westwood and held a tenure as Professor of Fashion Journalism & Communication at AMD (Academy of Fashion and Design) in Berlin. Her latest big personal project is ‘made/in India and Germany’ – an innovative cooperation in the area of Indian and German handicraft and fashion through the interaction of designers and artisans from the two countries.
