AURUM is the Latin word for gold, and the number 999.9 represents 24-karat fine gold with a purity of 99.99%, also known as "Four Nine Fine". This is the purest form in which gold can be physically cast—such as into investment bars.

For the AURUM MagBook 5th Anniversary issue, Per Appelgren photographed the Kenyan-born model Caren Jepkemei in Paris.

The anniversary edition, released in the autumn of 2026, marks five years of the AURUM 999.9 MagBook under its current creative leadership.

The magazine’s title—AURUM 999.9—is intended to reflect the publication's editorial and design aspirations. It signals that both the content—comprising exclusive topics such as high-end lifestyle, art, fashion, and design—and its production as a premium coffee-table book meet the "highest quality standards."

The luxury magazine is published by Reinhard Neussner Management und Beteiligungs GmbH, Vienna. Prior to his time at AURUM 999,9, Reinhard Neussner spent nearly a decade working as a publishing director and publisher at the international media agency Ahead Media.

In April 2021, he acquired the magazine AURUM 999,9 from its previous owner, Andy Gaiser; shortly thereafter, in September 2021, he successfully relaunched it in its current high-end hybrid format (MagBook).

Reinhard Neussner is regarded as a key connector within Vienna’s design and social scenes. He has established a series of elite event formats centered around the magazine—such as the exclusive "The Embassy of Good Taste" dinner series, the AURUM Motor Club, and the AURUM Art Club—which regularly bring together renowned artists and prominent business figures.

Photographer Per Appelgren presents his new website – clean, image-driven and designed for diving into his portfolio. Large-scale stories and a fluid visual layout take you through fashion, beauty and personal work, alongside recent projects for Casablanca Paris, Vogue Germany, Prada and Aston Martin F1 x Puma.

The German-Swedish photographer works between Paris and Berlin and has been shooting internationally for editorials and brands for more than a decade. His visual language moves between fashion and beauty, shaped by colour, perspective and a keen sensitivity for the people in front of his camera. For Per, it’s not just about aesthetics: his images give individuality room to breathe and his subjects the freedom to express themselves.

Per Appelgren captured actress Lisa-Marie Koroll for a collaborative editorial by VOGUE Germany and eBay Germany.

Inspired by German Minimalism, Neue Deutsche Welle, and the distinctive aesthetics of Fassbinder cinema, the editorial showcases exclusive pre-loved fashion pieces, which were auctioned during an eBay Live stream in July.

Lisa-Marie Koroll is one of the leading faces of Germany's younger generation of actors. She first rose to prominence with the hugely successful Bibi & Tina film series and has since established herself through numerous film and television productions.
