Per Appelgren photographed Riccardo Simonetti for the March 2026 issue of VOGUE Germany, created in collaboration with luxury haircare brand Kérastase.
At the center of the editorial is Simonetti’s instantly recognizable long hair, which becomes both visual statement and narrative element throughout the shoot. Known as a presenter, author and outspoken advocate for diversity and self-expression, Riccardo Simonetti has become one of the most visible voices of a new, more inclusive pop culture in Germany.
The collaboration with Kérastase highlights the brand’s expertise in haircare and styling while celebrating Simonetti’s distinctive look and personality, placing hair texture, movement and shine at the heart of the imagery.
Per Appelgren c/o SCHIERKE.HOTTAS Artists and his team created a refined beauty editorial that balances classic portraiture with a contemporary fashion sensibility, giving Simonetti’s striking presence and expressive hair the space to unfold visually.

Per Appelgren photographed social-media star The Gstaad Guy for an exclusive Audemars Piguet special in YUNg Magazine - a shoot that blends humor, luxury and self-presentation in a contemporary visual language.
The Gstaad Guy holds up a mirror to the world of the rich and beautiful - and luxury brands swear by his videos. The cult figure moves effortlessly between satire, style awareness and carefully choreographed self-perception. What began as an exaggerated parody of modern privilege has, over the years, evolved into its own universe: podcasts, a devoted community, product lines and an increasingly relevant cultural commentary on luxury’s modern aesthetic. And yes – even in Gstaad, they adore him.
In the YUNg feature, he speaks about self-irony, the art of observation and the value of beauty, revealing a reflective and surprisingly serious side in his exploration of taste, humor and identity. His partnership with Audemars Piguet fits seamlessly into his world: watches as discreet status symbols, as craftsmanship, as a language understood by connoisseurs.
Per Appelgren’s photography captures this delicate balance between irony and sincerity, luxury and lightness, performance and authenticity. The result is a visual dialogue between persona and brand – and a look behind the façade of a phenomenon that has long since become more than just an internet parody.
YUNG is a quarterly magazine and online platform in the Middle East and Africa celebrating global art, fashion, music and culture.

For Têtu, Per Appelgren showcases model Jarrod Scott in a series built on clean lines and a contemporary, masculine sensuality. The photographer works with reduced lighting, precise framing, and an atmosphere that highlights Scott’s physical presence with understated elegance.
Stylist Jacopo Fiorentino opts for pieces by Balenciaga, MM6 Maison Margiela, ROMBAUT, and Jean Paul Gaultier. The mix of structured jackets, open silhouettes, transparent textures, and bold boots creates a look that feels stylish, sexy, and effortlessly modern. The art direction was led by Paris-based Angèle Noel.
Jarrod Scott, one of the most distinctive faces in international menswear for years, once again demonstrates how naturally he blends elegance, body awareness, and relaxed modernity. Known from campaigns for brands such as Givenchy, Chanel, and Cavalli, he remains entirely himself here: masculine, sensual, and calm in front of the camera. Scott is also deeply committed to ocean protection and serves as an ambassador for Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef, a global initiative dedicated to preserving the reef.
This editorial is a homage to contemporary menswear: stylish, sensual, and clearly photographed - in the unmistakable visual signature of Per Appelgren.
