'WORK – Behind closed doors' - the exhibition with works by industrial photographer WOLFRAM SCHROLL, on view until mid-November at the Bremen Chamber of Labor

Until November 14, 2025, the Bremen Chamber of Labor is presenting the exhibition "WORK – Behind Closed Doors," featuring works by renowned industrial photographer Wolfram Schroll.

With the series "WORK – Behind Closed Doors," Wolfram Schroll opens our eyes to a side of the modern working world that remains hidden to most people. His photographs document the reality of industrial work at the beginning of the 21st century with brutal clarity.

They depict production facilities in steel, mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive, logistics, medicine, and chemistry. Schroll remains true to his documentary approach and shows what is – without sugarcoating it. The images reveal how demanding and complex work in industry is today. "WORK" reminds us that behind many of the products that shape our everyday lives lie hard work, precision, and human commitment – and gives a face to the people in these hidden worlds.

Wolfram Schroll's photography is always commissioned photography; otherwise, contemporary industrial photography would not be possible. Whatever client requests and defined visual goals, he always strives to bring a photograph from each assignment that fits the "WORK" project.

Wolfram Schroll, born in 1956 in Hagen, began classical photography training at the age of 19. At 27, Schroll opened his own studio. For about 20 years, he has focused on industrial photography, working for family businesses, medium-sized companies, and international corporations in Germany, Europe, and the USA.

The exhibition opened on Thursday, September 4, 2025, and runs until November 14, 2025.

The Bremen Chamber of Labor is a public corporation. It represents the overall interests of the employees belonging to the Chamber, particularly their economic, professional, or socially beneficial interests in harmony with the common good.
