I am a German junior designer (womenswear) and a former graduate from the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design.
I am looking for a new and challenging full-time position as a junior designer to extend my knowledge and where I can utilize my ability to think outside the box.I am interested in the field of fashion/graphic design, accessory design, fashion journalism, fashion photography or to work with agencies in the field of fashion production and styling.
My studies at the University and an Erasmus semester I carried out in Barcelona, gave me a wide platform for experimentation with my passion for designing both individual and contemporary fashion.
I succeeded to present my final collection, based on ‘Nomads in Mongolia’, at the 'Truman Brewery Winchester Graduate Show'' in London and was nominated for the 'Fashion Innovation Award' selected by the designer Peter Jensen.
My current job as a freelance designer and one of my past internships at the German fashion brand Tom Tailor, gave me valuable experiences of working productively in a fast moving environment and under deadline pressure.
I gained a professional experience in areas such as preparing design concepts, trend research, technical/spec/CAD drawings with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, pattern cutting, fittings, styling, photo shootings, setting up worksheets, people-management, maintaining relationships with international suppliers, being able to work to a critical path and designing products with an awareness of quality and price management as well as taking care of the quality control of delivered prototype samples. Here I closely worked together with the graphic and buying department.
I feel I am a strong and confident designer and tend to pick up new skills & work strategies easily. I am looking for the next career step that is why, I would be very pleased to receive job inquiries on here.
