Creatives To Watch : Jonathan Bossle, Founder & Creative Producer at Tightrope Production (LA & NYC) on Producing Global Fashion and Sports Campaigns

Tightrope Production is a high-performing, independent production company (Los Angeles & New York) dedicated to bringing creative visions to life through stunning stills, motion, and digital experiences. With precision, passion, and unwavering dedication, they provide full-service production, working alongside content creators from all industries, guiding projects from initial inspiration to the final standing ovation.

One of their standout projects is the global campaign for the ADIDAS Z.N.E. collection relaunch, created in collaboration with GrandArmy and adidas. This campaign celebrates communities worldwide that are united and inspired by sport, both on and off the field. Featuring stars like Noah Lyles, Jude Bellingham, Paulo Dybala, Tate McRae, Xochitl Gomez, BabyMonster, and Su Yiming, Tightrope helped bring this powerful brand story to life.

We introduce Jonathan Bossle, the creative mind behind Tightrope Production, in an interview on GoSee.

Jonathan, what inspired you to found Tightrope Production, and how has your European background influenced your work in Los Angeles? Jonathan: I started Tightrope Production during the pandemic in lockdown. It was one of those “what am I going to do with the rest of my life”, “where do I go?” moments. My work is heavily influenced by my German OCD attention to detail, paired with my colorful upbringing as a child to a world famous circus performer – my mother – who performed the TIGHTROPE act. She traveled the world in her circus years which meant our family traveled alongside with her. Even as a young kid, it forced me to stay adaptable, which is a trait that has followed me into my working life.
When I started working in production as a PA, it felt natural to me somehow. Moving from town to town, location to location, setting up your tents and motorhomes, welcoming your audience (clients) and putting on a show!

A few years later, Tightrope Production was born. American hustle, mixed with a European work ethic is a winning combination.

Your motto is ‘Kick back and let us do the balancing act.’ What does this motto mean to you personally, and how do you embody it in your daily work? Jonathan: We are service production, meaning service is what we do. My mother would say “You’re only as good as your last performance” – which is the same mentality we take into each production. We strive to make each job the best it can be. On top of just creating an enticing visual, we’re also selling an experience, so we really do want our clients to sit back & enjoy, while we take care of the hard parts.

What advantages does being based in Los Angeles offer for your work, and how does the city influence your creative decisions? Jonathan: LA is just a production hub – anything & everything you could need to make a production successful is at your fingertips in LA. The city never stops in terms of Hollywood machinery - blockbuster movies , music videos, music, photo shoots that are globally recognized are made every day here. The fact that Tightrope gets to play a role in contributing to that machinery is still a pinch-me moment every day.

You recently worked with Oscar-winning actress and now successful wellness entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow on a campaign for the meditation app "Moments of Space" in the studio. In your opinion, what are the key elements to executing a successful promo shoot? Jonathan:  Working with A-list actors in Hollywood can feel intense at times, but at the end of the day we approach every production with unwavering dedication. A great script, great talent, great photographer, great catering (because you can’t have a great shoot without a happy stomach - those are my essentials, I’d say.

Your focus is on global campaigns in the sports and fashion sectors. What are the unique challenges in producing campaigns for brands like Adidas, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, or Louis Vuitton? Jonathan: What makes them unique are the teams of course. As we like to say in Germany “Wir kochen alle nur mit Wasser” so that’s the fundament for a successful production but then it is really the level to detail which makes every production unique and exciting and that’s where Tightrope comes in. Details are our bread and butter and just ingrained in us.

One challenge is certainly the unique scale of these larger-than-life brands. You’re not only taking a photo – you’re creating a billboard, you’re crafting a Times Square video, you’re contributing to the culture of a global campaign to be seen by millions of people. Doing this well requires a team that is fully in-sync & on the same page. It necessitates attention to detail. And it has to feel fun & life-giving.

I like to think that Tightrope does this very well :)

What are the biggest challenges you face when producing international campaigns, and how do you overcome them? Jonathan: Practically, having to work in all the different time zones can be incredibly time-consuming. You can basically be working around the clock, 24/7 - something we kind of do anyways.

What are your future goals for Tightrope Production, and what kinds of projects would you like to realize in the future? Jonathan: Despite continuing to work with creative minds from all fields and helping them bring their visions to life, we are excited to continue building the brand Tightrope Production and expand our universe. We have started our own skin care and care products like luxury hand soaps to enhance our client experience.

While furthering the relationships with our current clients, we’re excited to keep expanding & growing. In 2025 we expanded our offices to NYC & grew our reach across 7 new cities in the US. We’re eager to keep building on these markets & open up new opportunities for 2026!

Is there a campaign or recent project that you are particularly proud of? Can you give us some insight into its creation? Jonathan: Yes! We just executed a massive global adidas production. Producing 8 shoots in 6 countries around the globe - throughout the US, Europe and Asia. The rewarding part was partnering hand-in-hand with so many international production partners. The challenging part was relinquishing the control of all the small details of these shoots to them, and trusting that their attention to detail is up to our standards.

Overall, the experience was wonderful and the work speaks for itself!

VOGUE Spain & VOGUE Germany x Chloë Sevigny – Cover shoot produced by Tightrope Production in California

For VOGUE Spain and VOGUE Germany, Chloë Sevigny stepped in front of the camera - style icon, actress and one of the defining figures of the 1990s independent film scene. The elaborate double feature was produced by Tightrope Production, who executed the entire shoot in Culver City, California.

In the accompanying interview, Chloë Sevigny speaks candidly about feeling misunderstood at times throughout her career - and about her determination to follow her own artistic path regardless. Since her breakthrough in the indie classic “Kids”, in which she took on the female lead without prior acting experience, Sevigny has been a constant in both the fashion world and arthouse cinema. Her face became emblematic of New York’s underground and skate-kid culture of the 1990s.

For the cover shoot, photographer Michael Bailey-Gates brought Sevigny together with friends and models, creating a visual narrative that blends intimacy with fashion history.

Sevigny, who turned 50 last year, lives in New York with her husband, gallerist Siniša Mačković, and their five-year-old son. With more than 80 film and television roles to her name, she has remained true to her distinct artistic identity: staying clear of Hollywood mainstream and gravitating toward independent productions and character-driven underdog stories. In her latest film, “After the Hunt,” she stars alongside Julia Roberts.

The shoot was produced by Tightrope Production, once again demonstrating their expertise in high-end fashion and editorial work. With precise set design, seamless logistics and an internationally coordinated team, TRP created the ideal framework for one of VOGUE’s standout stories of the season.

adidas unveils the new CLIMACOOL LACED - launch campaign starring track stars Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield

For the global launch campaign of the CLIMACOOL LACED, adidas teamed up with photographer and director Gabriel Moses. In front of the camera are sprint stars Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield, whose combination of speed, power and agility embodies the vision of a futuristic performance shoe. The campaign production was handled by Tightrope Production.

With the adidas CLIMACOOL LACED, the brand elevates its iconic technology to an entirely new level – futuristic, functional and visually radical. The shoe is created through a 24-hour 3D-printing process, formed from a single, seamless, layer-free piece. Its multidimensional lattice structure not only ensures maximum flexibility and a precise fit, but also enables a level of airflow and an aesthetic expression that conventional manufacturing cannot achieve.

The CLIMACOOL system delivers 360-degree ventilation, disperses heat and moisture with remarkable efficiency, and keeps the foot cool, dry and focused even under extreme conditions – marking a significant milestone in the evolution of adidas’ two-decade-old CLIMACOOL innovation.
