Past, present and future in one image - ANKE LUCKMANN photographs the campaign for the Mercedes-Benz Museum

For the Mercedes-Benz Museum campaign, the agency Banauten – under the creative direction of Justine Boltzek – relied on the distinctive visual signature of Anke Luckmann.

The award-winning photographer is known for her staged, atmospherically rich automotive imagery – and it is precisely this blend of technical precision and emotional depth that defines the campaign.

“Spending a few days moving between the past, present and future of mobility – that was quite a special assignment. Legendary vehicles in such an architecturally impressive museum... you’d love to keep shooting there for a whole week.” - Anke Luckmann

The visual world takes viewers on a journey through the icons of automotive history – from historic classics to futuristic concept cars. Between gleaming metal, reflections and architectural clarity, Anke Luckmann captures the unique spirit of the place: innovation as a living tradition.

The motifs were displayed on city lights, buses and large-scale outdoor installations around the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart – as well as across digital campaign formats.

At the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, history comes alive: the connection between technology and everyday life, between contemporary history and popular culture... with the more than 160 unique vehicles taking center stage. On display are some of the oldest automobiles, legendary racing cars, and research vehicles.

Marjorieth - ANKE LUCKMANN celebrates the Cancer Killer for the Breast Cancer Awareness Project

The renowned Hamburg-based hair, makeup, and styling agency Bigoudi and Pink Style Tour jointly organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Project in Hamburg.

In addition, there are valuable keynote speeches as well as healing yoga and breathing exercises. The goal is to give the women a carefree and unforgettable moment, full of the care and support they need.

"Our goal is for women to feel beautiful in their bodies again and develop increased self-confidence." Maike Grimpe, Co-Founder of PST.

The photos were on display at the vernissage in summer 2025 at Briese Studios in Hamburg.

ANKE LUCKMANN presents Personal Project 'BILORA BOY 127'

BILORA BOY 127 is a photography project by Anke Luckmann, created in collaboration with the talent Yuma. Postproduction was handled by Trey.

The title of the project refers to the vintage “Boy” camera by Bilora, made from dark burgundy Bakelite. This nostalgic inspiration runs like a red thread through the visual language: a blend of retro charm and modern aesthetics.

BILORA BOY 127 invites viewers to explore the subtle nuances of light, color, and mood captured by Anke in each shot. It is an intimate visual experiment celebrating the connection between past and present in photography.

The production of the Bilora Boy began around 1949 and continued into the early 1950s. It was part of a series of Bakelite cameras that were popular at the time. Bilora ceased camera production in 1975 but continued to focus on producing photographic accessories and plastic components. Today, the Bilora Boy 127 is a sought-after camera among collectors and retro photography enthusiasts.
