The FYNCH-HATTON label was named after Denys Finch Hatton, born on April 24, 1887, in England. As the second son of an earl, he grew up in privileged circumstances.

In 1911, Denys Finch Hatton traveled to British East Africa, present-day Kenya, and was immediately captivated by the country's beauty and wildness. He decided to stay there and quickly made a name for himself as a safari guide. His services were sought by many prominent and wealthy tourists, including Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII.

Roger Brandts, descendant of a cloth-making family, decided, like Denys Finch Hatton, to embrace adventure and founded his own fashion company in 1998.

The name was quickly chosen: Fynch-Hatton, as a tribute to Denys Finch Hatton, who impressed with his independence, sense of adventure, and love of freedom. FYNCH-HATTON is now represented at around 2,300 points of sale in 55 countries.

The images shown here were photographed by Simone SCHNEIDER c/o ANDREA HEBERGER for the fashion brand with the umbrella acacia tree as its logo.
