Grotesque dioramas, stuffed animals, fashion outfits, and a comedian with attitude - for photographer David Späth, WAGNERCHIC post-produced a photo series for Oliver Polak's current tour, combining fashion photography and satire in an unusual setting.
Wagnerchic handled post-production, look development, and retouching: "Amidst the richly detailed dioramas, it was crucial to develop the colors, contrasts, and subtle nuances in such a way that the series unfolds its surreal tension. This creates a visual concept that emphasizes the grotesque while simultaneously translating it into a coherent visual language.
As a well-rehearsed team, our processes mesh seamlessly: Späth stages the shots, Wagnerchic condenses and finalizes. The result is motifs that work for both communication and the campaign – and, as seen here, clearly capture the artist's personality in a spectacular setting."
